Red Pill Wonderland Series
Red Pill Wonderland is a tech free, internet free coffee house with a mystical throw back ambiance where people come to experience genuine human interaction. RPW was opened by Lee and Tess, two friends from vastly different generations, with a mentor/mentee relationship. Their hope is that RPW will offer a place of retreat from the mind-melting virtual world of the cell phone. The goal of this communal den is to recapture the art of conversation, intellectual development, and emotional connection between people from all walks of life. Strange, hilarious and mysterious things happen regularly to the visitors at Red Pill Wonderland, as the audience is treated to a front row seat on a journey through the challenges, absurdity and comedy of the human condition.

Jamie is an LA Native, and after completing his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice at UCI, his first real job was working as an LA County Sheriff. A twist of fate soon took Jamie away from a career in law enforcement and he became one of the most well known American professional bicycle racers of all time. After retiring from the sport, Jamie studied filmmaking and theatre at UCLA and soon founded his own commercial production company where he wrote and directed more than fifty local and national ad campaigns. When the commercial actors went on strike in 2000, Jamie began production on his first feature length documentary film and never went back to the commercial world. He has worked extensively as a writer/director in TV, theatre and film. Jamie has also served as the Artistic Director of the Atwater Playhouse in Los Angeles for more then ten years.
Jamie’s first feature length documentary, THE HARD ROAD became a cult phenomenon playing to sold out audiences in film festivals and special screenings in more than 25 states and 10 different countries. His follow up film, PRO met with similar success, and combined the DVD’s have sold in 30 countries around the world.
It wasn't long after until his short film Slipping also made it into festivals. Slipping was a finalist at the 2011 Academy Award Qualifying USA Film Festival and is Jamie’s homage to the silent films of the past. It was inspired by Kurt Vonnegut’s fabulously dark short story, “Look at The Birdie”. Slipping follows one troubled young woman’s descent into madness.
