It hurts… It is so bad, that I can not help getting tears in my eyes and getting an all consuming feeling of having to do something.

I have the privilige to sit in a beam of sunlight, drinking a cup of coffee, all is quiet, and slowly scrolling through my facebookfeed. Suddenly I am getting sad and psychical ill by seeing all the terrible things being shared about how we welcome and take care of refugees.

How can we defend treating our neighbours, who have been through war, starvation and fear - not knowing if their children, family and friends will survive, like that? How can we allow ourselves to meet them with anything but open arms and love?

People are not fleeing to something, but from something! - And those we meet, are those lucky few who had the resources to get out, but what about those left behind?

When children dream, they do not dream about welfare provided from a foreign state, they dream about family, love and safety - and in that way we are the same.

Dream a little dream is a film about this dream - the universal dream that connects us and binds us.

A film that combines live action, animation, fiction and documentary.
