Director Biography - Rebekah Evans

Hey everyone! I’m Rebekah Evans, and I’m privileged to be the writer and director of my first short film, “Chance”. I’m so excited to bring my vision and style to the screen to bring this story to life. Previous to this, I’ve had the opportunity to work on the JMC TVC, and Production Design the short film - Spinning in Slow Motion. To me, making films is about creating something that will move an audience even once they’ve left the cinema. I don’t believe you make films just because you can. My hope is that “Chance” will inspire, impact and engage you all.

Director Statement

Chance is based upon real life events that took place in my family. Like most writers, I wrote from what I knew, from what was personal to me. And sharing a personal story like this opens up yourself to move an audience in a positive way. My hope is to provoke a thought, 'what if today was too late?' Regret is a huge thing, and we only have one life to make it right. Take the chance.
