Director Biography - Antonio Lexerot, Vincent J. Roth

Apart from his penchant for the superhero genre, Vincent is a corporate attorney with a big creative side expressed in writing scripts, designing costumes, making props, acting, and managing all aspects of film production and distribution including working with SAG. Since 2004, he has applied his business acumen to the entertainment industry. Vincent managed 125 cast and crew, including 20 celebrities, to produce and distribute his first feature film, "Surge of Power: the Stuff of Heroes," which enjoyed a limited theatrical release, home video, DVD and streaming distribution. He ambitiously managed 271 cast and crew, including 50 stars, to bring the anticipated sequel to the big screen, "Surge of Power: Revenge of the Sequel!"

Vincent has a wide range of writing skills, sporting six degrees and three master certificates, which trained him well to put creative pen to paper, writing the scripts for both Surge of Power movies and the recently-launched third project, "Surge of Power: Big City Chronicles." For acting, he trained at the Weist-Barron School of Television and Commercials, and later studied under the well-regarded Los Angeles acting coach, Shari Shaw. Vincent has years of stage and dance performances before live audiences, has appeared in commercials, on TV, performed at trade shows, and has played the lead role in two feature films.

Director Statement

While big studios have yet to provide full representation, we have advanced the superhero genre with groundbreaking movies enjoyed by mainstream audiences of all ages. Our sequel has LGBT inclusion, an interracial couple, minorities in prominent roles, and women in power, with lots of celebrity cameos! Our sequel is a comedy that lightly touches on serious subjects with respect and dignity, allowing thoughtful reflection on human interaction. We are proud to present our superhero sequel, packed with adventure, fun, romance and lots of genre references and 'Easter Eggs' for comic and Sci-Fi fans.

It has been 10 years since the first Surge of Power movie was released, yet there still hasn’t been another openly gay superhero on the big screen (despite the recent "Power Rangers" movie, whose character is not out). As a filmmaker, I feel compelled to present our genuinely groundbreaking characters and the fun world we created to a mainstream audience again. I am delighted at how public audiences are receiving the sequel. Please see the link under "News & Reviews" for a short video of audience reactions.
