Girlz N The Hood
"Sky Jones is a talented artist growing up in the late nineties on the mean streets of Chicago. A time when everybody around her is about that thug life and representing their colors. Absolute poverty, crime, and broken dreams everywhere! When Sky loses her biological family to death and prison, she changes her color scheme and joins a girl gang. They become her family. She belongs to them and the streets now. Still everything that glitters ain’t gold. And as the body count rises, so does her crime and punishment resume pushing her dreams of opening her own art gallery further away. And just when it seems things couldn’t get worse, they do. Proving that sometimes the only way to change your colors, is to CHANGE your COLOR PALETTE."

I AM A WRITER...One of my most distinguishing characteristics is the diversity of experiences I possess. I am a 10-year United States Army Veteran and a MBA graduate with a passion for storytelling. I am a woman with an untamed, urban literary background whose unique voice can easily translate on and off the paper from Chicago slang, Southern dialect, Ebonics or Caucasian vernacular within a moment’s notice. In fact, it is the differences in our experiences and cultures, as well as building characters and watching them come to life that I enjoy translating on paper the most. I AM A WRITER.
