Jackie grew up in Houston, Texas and spent her college years gaining a bachelor's degree of English Literature at St. Edward's University in Austin. Jackie has performed at local slam poetry mics around Texas. She produced a scene from her original stage play in 2013 at the St. Edward's University Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE). An avid writer since age 12 Jackie has written a novel, a stage play, a screen play, dozens of newspaper articles and hundreds of poems.
The right story at the right time can stir in us the need to know more, care more and do more in our lives. To become lost in the characters, their world, and the moments they share is, to know more of ourselves than when we first walked in the room. The human question whether it be a search for meaning or an attempt to create meaning is always demanding further story telling.
