Bonneville
"Bonneville" is an uplifting coming-of-age drama set in Southern Cal’s early hot rod scene. Danny Shinoda’s dreams of hot rod glory on the Bonneville Salt Flats are deferred by Pearl Harbor and years behind barbed wire 100 miles away at Topaz. This can't break his brave heart… only his father can.

I’m John Lew, a Korean American screenwriter living in Los Angeles. I was raised in Mansfield, Ohio and schooled at Phillips Andover and Yale. I studied film production at the International Photographic Workshops in Rockport, Maine then moved to San Francisco, where I worked in film production and the theatre. There I met and worked with my mentor, Philip Kan Gotanda, a celebrated playwright and indie filmmaker. I moved to LA in 2001 and earned my M.F.A. in screenwriting at the AFI Conservatory in 2003.
