We started "Aftermath" by stating that we would have no compromises. As many people know, that isn't how the Low-to-No Budget film industry typically works. During the first preproduction meeting we let our crew know exactly what we expected of them, and that this wouldn't be the average "student" or "amateur" film.
During Principal Photography we pushed ourselves further than we ever had before. The phrase "Sleep is for Beginners" was what we lived by during this production. We shot 16 hour days, in heat, in cold, without sleep, and through family tragedy. We pushed harder and harder, and learned more and more as we went.
What we made was more than a film. We made a family.
