Blade & Silk
In a non-linear portrayal of solidarity against outdated gender norms, we see two women offer support for each owns individual conquests. Inspired from poems by Rupi Kaur, they showcase the comparisons of feminine beauty and raw strength that every women emulates. With the authentic movement the women fight together to stand out against the harsh environments, or unrealistic labels, surrounding them. They are not light, they are heavy. They demonstrate beauty in their own form and will not appear to be forgotten. They are half blade and half silk difficult to forget and not easy for the mind to follow.
