HBO Access 2017 Writing Fellowship

Alicia’s creative journey began behind the scenes in broadcasting. In addition to producing Rehoboth For You cable talk show, Alicia has performed with various productions on stage, such as the Afrikan Women’s Repertory in Hatshepsut, with the Ujamaa Black Theater in For the Love of a Black Woman, in Jacqueline Wade’s Black Panther Women, and as Inmate Hazel Allen in Island Girls at the Theater for the New City, among others. Other work in media includes Late Night with Seth Myers (NBC Universal) and Remember to Remember (Alphabet City Films). As a writer, Alicia’s has penned several stageplays, Roommates, a comedy, and two dramas, Family Business and Ghost Writer. Most recently, Family Business was accepted and performed at the 2017 New York Winterfest play festival. Other writing projects include the TV pilot, Bedford Kids.  
Alicia Foxworth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Virginia State University and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Media Communications from Fordham University. She has studied with Michelle Bossy at Einhorn School of Performing Arts for Primary Stages and with Ward Nixon of TCA Studios.
Additionally, Alicia Foxworth has taught marketing and media courses as an adjunct professor at The College of New Rochelle, The King’s College and most recently for the City Universtity of New York City at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York.
