Experiencing Interruptions?

Where the flag goes

When the Guatemalan government was overthrown by the mercenary "Liberation Army" back in 1954, only a group of young cadets stood in arms to defend their country. Most of them were 15 years old. A David and Goliath story.

Director Statement

My passion is film, a dedicated cinephile. I like to tell stories of my own background, stories that identify us a culture in Guatemala. Our country has a violent history and as a society we have many issues to deal in order to heal our troubled background and I believe that film is an art form that can help us get there. The best stories will always come from places that have dealt with many conflicts and Guatemala is gold mine for these kind of stories.
