Surfer
The music video shows a wanna-be surfer. Maybe he has surfed before and now all he can think of is surfing. Maybe he has never seen a single wave in his life and only dreams about it. But no matter what the case is, he literally holds on to his big dream and carries it wherever he goes. In his thoughts, he is away from all this grey winter city routine. The surfboard accompanies him near his bed, in the boring office, in the city streets, in a bar where he wants to escape from reality.. But his routine starts all over again, like a groundhog day.
p.s. The music video was shot on the coldest day of the year in snowy Kyiv (-20C) but the dream kept us all going. Dedicated to all those souls who are not lucky enough to live near the ocean.

When I first heard LatexFauna's 'SURFER' track I fell in love with it. It's a sunny and light song about a surfer yet with a very deep meaning. They are an emerging band yet they are very brave and against cliches, so I wanted their debut video to be free from cliches as well. Guys playing guitars and keyboards against colorful backgrounds is boring as hell, so I suggested to shoot basically a short film about a kind dreamer, a wanna-be surfer who literally holds on to his dream and doesn't let go of it. He is stuck in a cold grey city, in the daily routine, but in his mind, he is far far away on a wavy sunset beach. To all those thousands of dreamers who are not lucky to be able to travel or live at the beach side. We shot this video in -20C in Kyiv, on the coldest day of the year, in extreme and low-budget conditions, but we are all very happy with the result.
