Director Biography - Forest In His Heart (i.gathers)

I love stories. I always dreamed of telling a work that could communicate who I was, am, and how I want to see myself. Purposefully, in as many languages as possible.

After years of studying, loving, making and sharing art internationally as part of the Canada Council for the Arts programs, I needed to make a work of art about myself. No one else would. Or can. Same thing.

This is my first lo - fi short, about the experience of time, travel, and the human soul.
Shot on U.S., Europe, U.K. and Quebec tours between 2005 - 2017, in residencies in Montreal and Paris, and throughout workshops in Amsterdam.

This is the story of a boy who grew a forest in his heart.
