Troubled Times

Since America's recent election, our country and the whole world is showing the strains of injustice and inequality. People are hurting, the environment is suffering, and our institutions are under siege by wealthy influence and big business. Our political systems are proving unable to lead in healthy ways. This emotional video reflects the increasing frustration and chaos that is emerging as a result of these issues. These are troubled times, and this video shines a light on some of the difficulties we face.

Director Biography

Greg Vaughan is the owner and engineer of Standing Wave Music, an intimate recording studio for discerning artists in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Greg writes, performs, and records pop, rock and blues music. He also records trance instrumental music that serves as backing for videos. Greg’s songs can be found on SoundCloud, and his videos can be enjoyed on Vimeo.

In terms of post production for film, recently Greg has produced his own documentary, and completed final audio mix on the documentary Logging Town. For the film Killing Margery Keller, Greg served as the Audio Designer, recording foley effects and ambient backgrounds, recording artist ADR sessions, and mixing audio for the entire film. Standing Wave Music is capable of field recording, foley effects, ADR, audio restoration, and audio mixing to industry standards.

Greg works in Cubase Pro for audio, and Final Cut Pro for video with images shot on Panasonic GH3 and GH4 cameras
