Heavens Got a Good One

Writers: Whitney Lusk, Dana Sorensen
Producer: Joel Pack

Verse 1:
If someone listened in, they’d think I’m crazy
They’d hear the echo’s of this empty room
But I don’t care at all cuz I’ve missed you lately
And all I need is time talking to you, like we used to

Like, loading shotgun shells in the summer heat
I swear those guns were as big as me
Sunday night, porch light, story time, with our heads back laughing
Silver hair but still so young
And man we had a lot of fun
Heaven’s got a good one

Verse 2:
If you were here I wouldn’t mind that it’s raining
You always were my sun when skies were grey
You’d smile that crooked smile and say stop complaining
Don’t you know the garden needs the rain
It’s like yesterday

Chorus 2:
We were riding down that gravel road, didn’t need a radio
Taught me trust, how to cuss, and how to love with my arms wide open
Silver hair, but still so young
And hell, we had a lot of fun

Heaven’s got a good one
The best one
A girl could ever dream of
So I guess that I can understand why The Lord took you away

Chorus 3:
So while I’m loading shotgun shells in the summer heat
I know you’re watching over me
Sunday night, porch light, story time, I hope your head’s back laughing
What you started still lives on
In every ride, in every song
Heaven’s got a good one
Heaven’s got a good one
Heaven’s got a good one
