Nocturnes

A film project by electronic artists Empty Zen. This is a film set to a soundtrack of original music. Collecting emotive soundscapes that transport the listener through the many phases of a day and night, dry and wet, light and dark, and so on, that fill the gap between today and tomorrow.

The theme of Nocturnes is the passage of time through a single night. Part 1 begins in the late afternoon on a midsummers day.

Part 2 follows the subconscious through various stages of dreaming and ends with the awakening of dawn.
