Josh was born and raised in Williamsburg, VA, the second of three children to two wonderful and hardworking Filipino immigrants. At the age of four, he saw his first movie, Rumble in the Bronx, starring Jackie Chan. Ever since then, he has been hooked on his work, inspiring him to begin martial arts at an early age, dreaming that one day he would follow the footsteps of his childhood hero. Eventually taking an unplanned hiatus from martial arts, Josh became invested in hip-hop choreography and later urban freestyle dancing before dedicating his time to Film and Video Studies at George Mason University.
Incorporating his experience as a martial artist, dancer, and filmmaker, Josh has begun his journey into the field of action and stunt choreography, bringing him one step closer to realizing a lifelong dream, but not without all the friends he has made along the way.
Screen fighting is an art form just as much as any other element of filmmaking but has been undermined and short-changed on numerous occasions. I am on a mission to give it the exposure and recognition that it deserves.
