After getting a Bachelor in Cinema & TV Studies at the University of La Sorbonne (Paris,France) I a solid academic approach of the industry but I wanted to start making film. This is why, I got into the Ecole De La Cité, a cinema school created by Luc Besson, where I had the chance to learn about Directing. I came out more passionate and motivated than ever thanks to the experience I've acquired.
You can only see this short with so many different point of views but I, I see it as a story about a magnificent caterpillar who wants to blossom into a butterfly. But this caterpillar can not turn into a butterfly... Life made her a certain way that doesn't allow her to spread her wings and fly as high as the others. But she's so strong, driven and aware of the unfairness of her life that she decides to take actions. She decides that she deserves just as much as the others and she won't let life decide for her. She is going to make her own choices for her life to hopefully live a better one, where she could spread her wings as wide as she wants to.
This film if also about WOMEN. Women being able to take control of their body and making their own choices.
This short has been made in association with "52 POURCENT ASSOCIATION". An association that I'm part of since it's creation during my years as a cinema student being aware of the lack of representation of women both in front and behind the camera. This is why half of my techniciens are women and my main character is a woman too.
