Director Statement

'Deathly,' began with an image that I had of a woman, standing at a precipice, with nothing but a note in her hand. In more ways than one, the film is a metaphor for my own struggle with depression, how it has lead me, and ultimately taken control of my life. Many times, I wondered if I could have the gall to throw myself off of a cliff.

The film is a visual representation of that notion; the desire to die and whether or not someone would choose to if given the choice by Death himself. I left the ending open with the hopes that people could project their feelings onto the character and decide for themselves what decision she ultimately makes. One finds that their guess says more about them, than what meets the surface.
