CHRONICLES OF A WILDLIFER
A story first time from the perspective of a wildlife biologist. As he studies and experiences the wildlife up close during the field works. The story gives a unique glimpse in the working of a field biologist. There were many occasions in which the wild animals were encountered very close while working in the field. The beauty of it lies in the fact that, one needs to have an animal instinct himself to sense the pulse of the forest. Even the slightest sign and change in the forest conveys a message that is required to be deciphered.
The story concludes with giving a broader perspective to 'Wildlife' and explaining how 'Wildlife Crime' is not just an ecological issue but also a social issue threatening the survival of 'Homo Sapiens'.

Amit Goswamy, the Director of “Chronicles of a Wildlifer” has always been passionate about the wildlife and environment matters. In order to gain higher education in the field he did his Masters degree in Wildlife Science from Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun (2009-11).
His idea of conservation was to involve various stake holders and enforcement agencies together. After doing the MSc (Wildlife Science) he decided to join the elite Border Security Force as Assistant Commandant and is working to increase awareness among the forces. It was always a real gap between wildlife conservation and real enforcement, and the answer lies in raising awareness.
He decided to work on this documentary project to bridge that gap and increase awareness among the security forces. The result of this humble effort was “Chronicles of a Wildlifer” which will surely work to raise awareness among the largest border guarding force (i.e. BSF) of the world.
India being a country of immense wildlife value is a vital region for wildlife conservation and awareness. Being a democratic country, mandate of the people is vital when it comes to policy decisions. The wildlife conservationist and environmentalist work tirelessly for the cause, but fact of the matter is that, the efforts would be futile at best if we do not popularize the cause between the masses, especially the people working in enforcement and military.
