Squamanciation
A young, unhappy couple is living their everyday life in their apartment. When the man takes a shower, a peculiar thing happens: dozens of tiny fish appear from the drain. Though he tries to chase them away, he misses one, which, to his utmost surprise, starts to drink the shower gel. This surreal miracle brings the alienated couple again close to each other.

Péter Varsányi
I was born in 1993 in Budapest, Hungary, and I grew up in the same city. From an early age I've been obsessed with storytelling - in the beginning I had been telling stories in the form of literature, later I have navigated towards film and theatre. Since 2012, I am a student of theatre direction (specialized on staging puppet performances) at the University of Film and Theatre Arts, Budapest. As a puppeteer, I am searching for the ways of grotesque stilization; as a former amateur poet, I take film not only as a way of storytelling, but as visual poetry too.
After the music video 'Szeder: Szél', 'Squamanciation' is my first short film.
