The story minorities in Romania

Located at crossroad borders and geostrategic interests, Romania has always been a decent place for minorities who have found here that piece of heart that now is called home. Hungarians, Germans and 18 other minorities live together on Romanian land and are named national minorities. They are European citizens and Romanians, as we all are, and Romanian is their second mother tongue used to say words like bread, pain, mother, motherland, dreams.

All ethnicities and nations, not few in number, with whom Romanians have lived in their own country in good peace over time, are recognized minorities with parliamentary representation - a unique phenomenon in Europe . Even if we are not always tolerant and sympathetic with each other, this is a sign of wisdom and understanding, proof of the respect Romanians show to every nationality located within its borders. Romanians accept those who say in other language words like bread, pain, mother, motherland, dreams.
