Director Statement

Kansšiži was born almost as a joke. I did a travel around Europe in 2011 as a simple tourist. A friend of mine, Ignacio González, told me to shoot some pictures of the journey and I did without an idea. I just filmed whatever I felt like it. I filmed myself and landscapes. Then in 2013 I did another visit to Europe and I continued to film. In every country I went I was filming. Then, I realized I had almost 8 hours of shooting and I started to edit those rushes. Then a story came in. I convinced some actors friends to participate and we shot some scenes to complete the story. It has no an orthodox narrative, philosophical thoughts and sort of poems in voice over. It is an interesting movie to watch. I am proud of it. It ís also a simple movie, but effective. I think.
