Director Biography - Paillès twin brothers

Originally from Savoy, twins brothers Cyrille and Romain Paillès have first discovered cinema during their university studies – Romain studied multimedia and Cyrille theatre.
They then moved to Aubagne to study cinema at the SATIS department of the University of Marseille, production department.
They work since 2009 on TV drama and cinema sets, mainly as location manager assistant or assistant director. They also collaborated on many short film productions in various depatements.
Cyrille and Romain also had professional trainings and internships to improve new skills, especially steadicam and photography.
« The Butterfly » is their first short film. It is the result of many years of work, based on Cyrille's idea, that he developed with his brother.
It is shot entirely in Marseille with a professional team, thanks to the help of the production company « HVH films ».
They are curently developing a new scenario of feature film being inspired by an event which took place in southern Alps. They are influenced by some of their favourite authors: the Coen brothers, Wes Anderson and Marcel Pagnol.
