Director Biography - Kelly Swanson

Kelly Swanson is an MFA student in film and video production at the University of Iowa. She received her bachelor's degree in media and technology studies and media production, and minored in studio art and comparative literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Throughout her undergraduate career, Kelly was a writer, director, producer, and actress for UNC Student Television. She also worked on several theater, web series, and short film productions. Her films and photographs have been displayed in various festivals such as the Swain Film Festival, MedFilm FEST, and the Center for Global Initiatives photo exhibit in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She is currently working on her second full length screenplay, which she plans to adapt into a film.
