Spit'nSplit
This film is about The Experimental Tropic Blues Band rock tours. The ones that stink of dirty basements, full of brain damaged freaks; the ones with endless road trips, clumsy friendships and the difficulties of living together. All of them sprinkled with the 'Baby Bamboo', that magical pipe which brings the promise of psychedelic journeys.
Warning ! The movie is a mockumentary and must be seen until the end because it takes an unexpected direction ..

Jérôme Vandewattyne is a Belgian director born in 1989. As a true cinema and music fanatic, he creates the music band VHS FROM SPACE and begins studying Film-Making at IAD. One year later, he leaves the school for the ISFSC, taking an Audiovisual and Advertising option for which he directed a short film as his final work, "SHE'S A SLUT", shown at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF). The following year, he directed the stroboscopic "SLUTTERBALL", a second self-produced short film. He went on to direct two complete seasons for the teenage web series "What The Fake ?! RTBF ". Now, at 25 years old, after working alongside La Film Fabrique on the vjing of the show "The Belgians", he climbs aboard The Experimental Tropic Blues Band's van to follow them on tour for more than two years. This experience will give birth to his first feature, "SPIT'N'SPLIT".
Jérôme Vandewattyne, a director fascinated by the underground cinema of the 70s, has been entwined in the road tour of the Belgian band "The Experimental Tropic Blues Band" for more than two years. This encounter has given birth to a film: "SPIT'N'SPLIT".
Spit'n'Split is a metaphor about love and its disappointments. It is also a new album and soundtrack of the film. Never have the "Tropics" carried quite so well the name "Experimental". After an album recorded in New York with Jon Spencer and a tribute to Belgium with the show "The Belgians", The Experimental Tropic Blues Band offers us once again a complete package, a true collaboration, mixing sound and vision.
