GATES OF HELL

GATES OF HELL is a moving drama-feature, Part I of the real-life-story of Everett House, beginning with his birth during the mid-1930's and growing up in a poor, Christian home in the inner city. Then, beginning at age 17, during the early- 1950's, Everett is institutionalized for years and forced to undergo shock treatments and some other psychiatric atrocities popular to that era. But, through it all, Everett finds God faithful to His promise as his sure source of hope, strength, and deliverance. Also in the story is found a portrayal of Everett's passion for singing gospel music and playing the guitar, especially the steel, just as his dad had in times past before Parkinson's got the best of him. After Everett's string of unfortunate hospital dilemmas pass, he is left with a staggering, divine promise from God about his future, that a movie would be made of his life one day that will be used to warn the world of the mark of the beast in the forehead.

Writer Biography - Everett House, Pamela Green

Pamela Green is co-author of the screenplays GATES OF HELL and THE PROMISE, THE TUNNEL, AND THE ALTAR, and a daughter of Everett House, whom these stories are mainly about. Pamela grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she attended Oral Roberts University, taking up art.
Everett House, co-author of the screenplays GATES OF HELL and THE PROMISE, THE TUNNEL, AND THE ALTAR, grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He was committed for years to a mental institution, beginning at age seventeen, where shock treatment and other "barbaric" psychiatric practices were forced on him. He then attended Ranken Trade School and, afterward, worked for himself in painting and remodeling for over forty-five years. Everett also wrote some poems, and a gospel song, played gospel music often, singing and playing the steel and bass guitars, and had a few radio programs over the years, The Words and Ways Group in the 1970's and The Family of God Broadcast in the 1980's. Unfortunately, Everett passed away back on December 10, 2018, before his complete promise from God about the movie would come about.
