THE DEEPEST MAN IN A SWIMSUIT
A construction engineer and a father of two children decides to reach 111m of depth in Adriatic sea. Breath-diving, holding a stone in his hands and in a swimsuit only. A senseless act and the craziest free-diving record, full of constant drown backs. And over the limits of control. This record becomes his life and he meanwhile discounts the world around him. His pranged wife, his child, his parents, health.. a life to wish for.
The need for achievement pushes him to pursue success in a life endangering action and put everything he has on hold. But what if he fails? Is there anything left?

Haidy Kancler (a.k.a. Maja Senekovič) is a young freelance film director from Slovenia. She graduated from the University of Media and Communication Arts in Maribor. She creates a wide range of different video content. From multi-cam television shows to films to corporate presentations and ads. However, documentary genre where she explored some of the most delicate subjects in our society, including foster children and the world of the deaf, while also visiting the world of arts, sports and science remains her favorite genre:
,,The documentary genre took me on the most eclectic journey, through different countries, cultures, languages and professions, combining fiction, music directing, music videos, sports and advertising, all at the same time. It is a passionate journey since life itself moves me more than anything else.’’
In our society sport has become a life ideal. Not only as a physical activity but as an ideology. It is a perfect combination of capitalism and productivity. It’s value system that is set of challenges, selections, performances, records, hierarchy setting and elimination of the weak is replacing our traditional value system. But what if one is unable to fulfil these expectations?
