How "The Reacher" came about was through a personal loss I had to deal with back in 2010. At that time, my mother had passed away. I was raised by both her and my grandmother. In 2006, I had moved from my home in New Jersey to go to film school in Florida. She was always very proud of me and said that I can do anything in life if I put 100% effort into it. When I received word that she had passed away, I was devastated. I never had the chance to say "good-bye" to her, or even one last "I love you mom". This film "The Reacher" was my response to that tragedy. And through it I came up with the concept of: What if we were given a final chance to say something to our loved ones.
