Israel is a professional Actor/Director/Producer based out of Dallas, TX. He first got his start in the entertainment industry as a rapper. He gained minor success touring throughout Texas performing at car shows, night clubs and concert venues alongside major performing acts. After taking a brief hiatus from the music industry Israel set his sights on acting. After co-producing a couple of commercials and being an on air talent host for a series of educational training videos for a marketing agency he found himself enthralled by the world of acting.
Israel continues to perfect and hone his craft by attending acting classes, workshops, reading, and watching the great performers of the past and present. When Israel is not busy filming, attending classes, or writing he can be found networking with his industry colleagues.
He has since added the role of Producer to his list of credits having produced 3 films and plans for more that are in development. He enjoys the art of assembling and coordinating the right teams to bring a production to fruition.
Israel has been cast for lead and supporting roles on several independent feature and short films, and has also been featured on WGN’s ‘Salem’, HBO’s ‘The Leftovers’, and the Reelz Channel’s ‘Murder Made Me Famous’. In addition, he was also featured in the film Bad Kids of Crestview Academy directed by Ben Browder and produced by Bad Kids and Spiderwood Studios. Israel Varela is represented by The Clutts Agency.
