Experiencing Interruptions?

Beyond The Paint

It's not just a bunch of naked people being painted...these are the stories behind and beyond the physicality of bodypainting in an award-winning documentary-style short film surrounding the artist Andy Golub. It's about human connection and the critical issue of freedom of expression through art, which is as real and intricate as the art itself. What exists beyond the paint is the people...

Director Biography - April Anderson

Photographer, videographer and editor April Anderson is the "Head Instigator" behind the Art As Air Project. She created this project with a full-on desire to document and explore the wide range of reasons people choose to expend time and energy creating art in whatever medium speaks to them. The goal is outreach within creative communities of all genres in order to create a showcase and network for artists who are established, as well as for those who are not. The Art As Air team creates video profiles along with photo portraitures and documentaries. April's approach is just as passionate as that of the creators whom they profile. She has covered events for the Songwriters Hall of Fame for years as a photojournalist (and as their Marketing/Communications Director), as well as conceiving and editing opening video montages for their Annual Induction and Awards Galas.
