'MY' explores the socio, psychological, and spiritual cause & affects of narcissism. Dancers investigate the physical realities of division  separation & discord amongst the self, observing how we are affected by our surroundings and others’ choices.

Director Biography - Khadija Ahmaddiya & Mark Caserta

Khadija Ahmaddiya is a native of Philadelphia PA.
Upon graduating from the University of the Arts, she joined DanceSpora Contemporary Ballet and NonaLee Dance Theatre, performing in several cities throughout the United States. In 2012 she toured cities in Panama with The New Freedom Theatre as a guest artist of the International Karate Tournament. Khadija has premiered choreographic work in Philadelphia, New York &
New Jersey. In 2015 Khadija Co-Produced & Co-Directed ‘Smoke Lines’ a full evening of dance, film, and live music performance. Under her direction DRIGGproductions received the 2015 New Music USA Project Grant.

Mark Caserta, from Philadelphia, trained in many styles at the Creative and Performing Arts HS and the Ailey School. In 2010, he graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Ballet Performance. Mark was a member of Eleone Dance Theater from 2006-2010. He was a member of International touring companies Complexions Contemporary Ballet from 2010-2014 and Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal from 2014-2016. He has choreographed on PA Ballet II, the University of the Arts Dance Department and Grace Dance Theater. He has presented works at STEPS Lab, the Banff Centre and the Brooklyn Dance Festival. Mark is also a participant in the organization MindLeaps.

Director Statement

Founded in 2013 by Khadija Ahmaddiya & Mark Caserta, DRIGGproductions brings an innovative mix of dance
through film and live performance. Dancers play on
technical ability, individualism and unity to explore
themes of social & cultural context.

DRIGGproductions has presented work through out New York and
New Jersey at venues including Ailey City Group Theater, Brooklyn Ballet, Steps Dance Center and DeBaun Performing Arts Center.
In 2015, DRIGGproductions was awarded the inaugural
Choreographic Residency at Nimbus Dance Works;
in conjunction with this residency, they were awarded the prestigious New Music USA Project Grant for the production of ‘Smoke Lines,’ an acclaimed project that premiered at Nimbus Dance Works in Jersey City featuring original live music. In the spring of 2016 DRIGGproductions presented In(Ward) to sold out audiences as part of Jersey City Theater Center‘s ‘Vanity Series’. They were commissioned to return as Company in Residence for the production of ‘Magnificent You’ which premiered in November 2016.
