Linda has been a movie fan and a horror junkie since her parents gave her a book about the Universal Movie Monsters when she was a little girl. She wore that book out! In her wildest dreams she wanted to be involved in film-making, but life and making ends meet put her dreams on the back burner until now.
To indulge her creativity, Linda has been involved in theater as an actor, director and playwright for over 20 years. She has acted in a couple independent films. Also, she has had a number of her stage plays produced, most recently the musical, “The Alligator Boy” based on the very real love story between the Alligator Boy and the Monkey Girl, Emmitt and Percilla Bejano who met as sideshow entertainers in the “ten-in-one” at a traveling carnival in the 1930s.
Linda is the Editor-in-Chief and Staff Photographer for Pazz Magazine. She has written theater reviews for The Lima News and entertainment reviews for Supermixta, Melt Magazine and The Entertainer. She has a BA in Communications and a Juris Doctorate. She is an attorney and an adjunct faculty member at Rhodes State College.
In her "spare" time, she volunteers for local pet rescues and other charitable organizations. And, her concept photography has been displayed in gallery events and published in a number of fashion magazines.
When attending my first horror convention as a tag-along, I fell in love with a community of passionate, fun-loving horror film-makers. Invigorated, I wrote "Down the Stairs" within a week. I set it aside, not having the confidence to make it a reality. Years later, with the support and prodding of producer, Joe Maurer of Silver Fox Productions, we collectively, made my dream a reality.
"Down the Stairs" is an examination of nature vs. nurture. The film is a look at a perfect mental storm that may be the catalyst for murder.
