Director Biography - Conny Beneden

Conny Beneden (Amsterdam 1965) was a lawyer until she studied Fine Arts at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. She developed her filmmaking skills from then on making all kinds of videos, from documentaries in commission to observations and fiction films.
Let Go (original title Los, 20’, 2010) about insects and growing up is her first short film. Urban Foxes (original title Stadsvossen, 17’, 2012), about urban nature and a woman on a bicycle, is her second short live action film. Beyond the Sea (original title De Overkant, 11’, 2015) is her third short film.
