The Purple Orchid
Last day of her trip to Kingdom of Cambodia, Sommer, a woman with agoraphobia, inadvertently receives a sick infant in her arms while struggling to control her fear of riding in a tuktuk. A moment of fleshly contact with the infant, she mysteriously feels strong and empowered.
Shortly after admission to a medical clinic, the infant is taken by the mother back a remote Choueng Ek village -an infamously place known as "The Killing Field" where Sommer has no choice but dives into The Killing fields to unearth the mystery of which the infant embodies.
This is a "First Time" ever in a history of Cambodian motion picture that the Cambodian Royal Ballet Dance Apsara is enchantingly performed by a two time American best actor award -Jasmin Jandreau.

His work is not just any work but his love and passion.
It was back in the summer 2011 during my trip to Cambodia to help a friend film a documentary for her new founding elementary school in Kompong Speu, 2 hours from Phnom Penh. One afternoon as I was riding in a tuktuk (a local type of ground transportation), there was a woman with an infant sticking her hand to my face asking for change during a busy traffic. The proximity was so close that she could easily pass the baby into my arms and run away without hurting the baby.
Moment after this brief charming encounter, I couldn’t stop thinking “what if” she actually passed the infant into my arms and ran way. What would I do?
Being a dramatic writer I thought this intriguing encounter could well serve as an "Inciting Incident” for a screenplay; and that was how "The Purple Orchid" was born.
