Jack London, an American adventure
At the beginning of the 20th century, Jack London, author of The Call of the Wild, White Fang and Martin Eden, was the most famous American writer of his time and came to symbolise adventure itself. He was alternately a vagrant, a gold prospector, a sailor, a rancher, a war reporter and a passionately militant socialist. He lived life at a hectic pace and his journey, intertwined with his writing, strikes us with its intensity. To tell his story is also to tell the story of the birth of modern America : London was the best incarnation of its ambitions, driving forces and contradictions, from the end of the conquest of the Far West to World War One.
The docudrama « Jack London, an American adventure » commemorates the 100th anniversary of his death and recounts his outstanding fate from remarkable archives, interviews of the greatest American experts and reconstruction scenes shot in 4K and filmed in the Canadian Far North, in Polynesia and on his Californian ranch.
