James Morton is a writer, director and producer of film and theatre based in London.
Most recently, he wrote, directed and starred in a 3-part series of short films, Tokyo Tales (3 x 8") and the 30-minute short film, Things To Do In Tokyo, filmed on location in Japan. He also wrote and directed the 60-minute movie Coming Home, a 5-part series of short films Revealing Shorts, and staged two self-written plays in London: Scream Queens Anonymous and Britain’s Got Talons.
He graduated from Durham University in 2010 with a degree in English Literature. Since graduating, he has worked for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, with credits including Miranda, Shooting Stars, Strictly Come Dancing and The Inbetweeners. He has also worked as a Continuity Writer-Director for BBC Worldwide, a Social Media Writer for Big Brother and The X Factor, and as a film critic for CinemaChords.com.
