Director Statement

This project has been a labor of love for me. I first conceived of the character Aaron Luck while on an audition for another project. The other project never got made, but the character--an infuriating but weirdly likable local politician--took hold in my mind, and I couldn't shake it. And, realizing how infuriating the character would be, i soon understood that he was really a foil for the character whose story this really is--the idealistic young intern, Danny, who gradually becomes a cynical politico in his own right. We made this project on a shoestring--about $2,000 an episode--but it was a lot for me. And, though I made some mistakes along the way, the time, money, and effort were more than worth it, to get to work with such a dedicated cast and crew, and to see the characters come alive and grow over the course of the series.
