Director Biography - Mark Leatherman, Leslie Knopf

A lifelong fan of art that explores the deeper realities of the human experience, Mark Leatherman discovered the craft of filmmaking while recovering from a near-debilitating accident in South America. In 2013, he began studying as an apprentice under director Sean Schiavolin. Since then he has filmed and edited a television series for ESPN’s The Longhorn Network, co-directed an international feature-length documentary, and helped create several viral YouTube hits.

Leslie Knopf and Cecilia O’Reilly work hard everyday to ensure that beauty will indeed save the world, as Dostoyevsky predicted. They studied Communications at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and have also worked as press correspondents in Rome. In 2015 they directed a film for the Jubilee Year of Mercy in collaboration with the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization.

Mark, Leslie and Cecilia currently live and work in Austin, TX.
