Director Biography - Nick Psinakis

Nick was born and raised on Long Island in New York. After graduating from The University of Delaware with a major in Visual Arts, he attended the William Esper Studio in New York City where he studied the legendary work of Sanford Meisner. Shortly after graduating he began conceptualizing, and creating low-cost, high quality productions as well as acting in various television and film projects.

In 2011 he co-wrote and produced the short film The Adoption Agency for FunnyorDie starring Rex Lee (Entourage, Young & Hungry) as Kim Jong Il. The film opened the 2011 LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival and won the 2011 Christopher Wetzel Award for Independent Film Comedy. In addition, it was an official selection for the 2011 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in both Chicago and Montreal.

In 2012 Nick co-wrote and produced the sketch Shannon Elizabeth Vs. Black Ops for FunnyorDie starring Shannon Elizabeth (Scary Movie, American Pie). The video received over 200,000 views online and garnered IMMORTAL status.

Nick along with his writing partner, Kevin Ignatius, formed Four Eighteen Films. A company committed to developing low-cost, high quality, independent auteur-driven films. This past year they secured an "if-come" television deal with Legendary TV & Digital. In addition, they are developing a feature film titled Thunderbird Park, story by Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Donnie Brasco). They plan on shooting their first feature film Normandie + Western in the of Spring 2017.

Nick currently resides in Los Angeles.

Director Statement

This film explores specific themes that are quite relevant in today's world, hackers and artificial intelligence. This film is meant to not only entertain but spark dialogue, provoke thought and ask questions about what a future would look like if these two worlds were to collide.
