Director Biography - Jessilee Windhaus

Though "Fool Me Slice" is her film directorial debut, Jessilee is no stranger to directing. With fifteen years of experience in the Sacramento theatre and comedy scenes and a Bachelor's in Theatre from California State University, Sacramento, Jessilee has a diverse background in directing, acting, writing, and producing. Jessilee has served as a writer, director, producer, actor, and founder of That Plus Chips live sketch comedy ensemble since its creation in 2013. As a teacher in the performing arts, Jessilee has worked with the world renowned Missoula Children's Theatre, Young Actor's Stage, and ComedySportz Sacramento, where she facilitated and organized a program teaching improvisational comedy to young adults. She is also Co-Founder and President of Empire Arts Collective, a nonprofit geared towards providing a collaborative space for performing artists in the Sacramento area.

Director Statement

I feel very spoiled to have worked with the incredible cast and crew of "Fool Me Slice." This truly was a team effort done on a shoestring budget to bring together this piece. This was That Plus Chips's first foray into doing digital sketch comedy, and it could not have gone more smoothly. I loved working on this project.
