BAGGAGE is based on an experience I made while waiting for my train at the central station in Munich. I was listening to music when I heard people screaming. Due to my headphones I didn’t understand what they were shouting.
Suddenly, I see a woman run past me. It looked like she was running away from the crowd. Simultaneously the shouting felt nearer. Through the echo of the train station the screaming sounded like „Allahu Akbar“. My heart exploded.
But I see who was screaming, it was just a crowd of soccer fans and the woman was only excited about uniting with her friend.
This happened one day after the Paris attacks of 2016.
BAGGAGE is about this experience.
