Rosa is an emerging award-winning screenwriter and has received international recognition at film festivals. Feature-film animation is her preferred platform in the genres of children's content and family-friendly viewership. She enjoys writing in the rom-com, action-adventure, inspirational/true-life, documentary and psychological-thriller sub-genres.
She is a first generation Afro-Latina in the United States, from Puerto Rico. Her love for humanity, culture and extensive travel fuel her ever evolving multi-cultural way of life. As a result, her writing reflects exceptional acceptance and inclusion. She is also a culture authenticity and research specialist.
Educationally she obtained an MA in Screenwriting from New York Film Academy, a BA in Theater and Communications from Temple University, and an AA degree in Diversity and Inclusion from Waldorf University. Continuous educational programs and workshop in world cultures and anthropology give her evolving and fresh perspective in providing authenticity.
She also aspires to become an author of children's picture-books. Having recently finished her first manuscript, was granted membership to the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She is an active member of Women of Color Unite, which is an entertainment industry centered non-profit organization championing for the equality and opportunity of all BIPOC women in the industry.
