Me and My Thoughts
What we do inside our house when we are alone is kept to ourselves, like most of our inner thoughts.
We are all striving to look normal, to fit in. What happens inside the mind of an obsessive/depressive/paranoiac person who is struggling to look normal, to be in control?
This fictional short film portrays a modern woman who masks her mental health problems, yet outwardly she appears unexceptionally normal.

Martin Devek is a multidisciplinary artist, creator of original music, film and fine arts.
His work in film stems from his need to express ideas and emotions in more than one artistic medium. He is interested in the interrelation between film, visuals, rhythm and sound, taking always care of the visuals, which, according to him, must always please the eye, whatever the context.
In 2015 his Fine Art pieces he had a solo and groups exhibitions at the Millennium Hall, City of Derry, Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast and the Galway City Gallery. His works are held in private collections in the UK, Ireland, Germany, United States, and Argentina.
He composed music for many theatre pieces including Bubleloon (Belfast Children Festival, 2013) and a Spoon full of Jelly (Down Arts Centre, 2016) among others. He composed the score for the short films ‘None’ and ‘The last battle’. More recently he has composed and performed live in ‘I-Reflexes’ recently performed at Brunel University, London and at the Black Box, Belfast.
