Sarika comes from Mumbai, India where movies are a way of life. She manages a full time career in finance based in Singapore; while creating stories and aspiring to make character driven, meaningful films. Her first short ‘Ex Wala Love’ screened at the Mumbai Women’s International Film festival and at the Singapore Short Film Awards. Her next short ‘Offcourt’ dealt with a socially relevant message embracing homosexuality in our families. With ‘Fall Bidding’, she explores a personal conversation that she and several modern women will relate to. In her spare time, she also organizes open mic music events to provide a platform for singers and musicians in Singapore and also supporting via its proceeds an India based charity for street kids.
Does how we dress change the perception of others towards us and then our own self perception. Exploring this through a lighthearted wager between a mother and daughter is how Fall Bidding came about.
