Director Biography - Giuseppe Alessio Nuzzo

Born in 1989, he is the General Director of Social World Film Festival.
He is external collaborator at School of Cinema of Naples and writes about film critics on several magazines.
He has directed many short films ("Sad letters" starring Leo Gullotta), documentaries ("Primitivamente" starring Giancarlo Giannini and with soundtrack by Enzo Avitabile and Adriano Aponte) and social TV adverts ("Corri" starring Anna Falchi on Rai and Mediaset channels). For his works he was awarded several prizes by the President of the Republic of Italy Giorgio Napolitano and by the Nobel Prize Rita Levi Montalcini, by the European Union and by Pubblicità Progresso.
He has also been jury member in several international cinema festivals, such as Festa del Cinema di Roma for the Prize Marco Aurelio Esordienti (together with Caterina D'Amico, CEO for Rai Cinema) and Giffoni Film Festival.

In October 2011 he is among the ten excellences of young Italian cinema in Los Angeles according to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
In 2013 he has designed and realised the first and only monument to cinema in Italy, the "Wall of fame" in Vico Equense (Sorrento Coast).
In 2014 he founds the production company "Pulcinella Film" and in the same year he institutes in Vico Equense a Museum of cinema set on the territory and of the Sorrento Coast, collecting hundreds of manifests, playbills, posters, projectors and other artefacts from XIX century to more recent times.

In December 2015 he presents his first book in occasion of the 120th anniversary since the first cinema projection by Lumière brothers in Paris. The title is "Cinema è sogno - Antologia delle citazioni cinematografiche: le frasi dei più celebri film italiani dal 1930 ad oggi". The conclusions were written by the actor and professor Enzo Decaro, while the preface was by the President of David di Donatello Gian Luigi Rondi, who defined the book as "monumental".

In February 2016 he directs his first feature film, "Le verità", the first psychological thriller ever produced in Italy, starring Francesco Montanari, Nicoletta Romanoff, Anna Safroncik, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Fabrizio Nevola, Luigi Diberti, Sergio Solli, Renato Scarpa among the others.
He studies production and cinematographic organisation at Lab of the National Film School - Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Experimental Cinematography Centre).

In 2017 he produce the feature film by Eitan Pitgiliani "InsaneLove" with a international cast (Clara Alonso, Diego Dominguez Llort etc) and he won the special mention at the important Italian award "Nastri d'Argento" and the best short film award at "Giffoni Film Festival".

Graduated with the highest votes in Dentistry, he has also been Counsellor of the Faculty of Medicine of the Second University of Naples.
