India: My Garden Smiles!
A beautiful but, fragile rose plant becomes vulnerable to reckless and mindless actions of a disdainful individual. However, it finds a tending gardener in the form of a little girl. She instinctively, feels a need for a holistic change and fights back poignantly, employing an urgent corrective action ― tidying up her neighborhood and cleaning up her Rose that she dearly adores and loves, thus bringing a smile to her garden!
This film therefore, is an allegorical narrative where the Rose garden represents India (Bharat).

DC is a filmmaker from Mumbai, India. His debut film Rab da Vaasta... (2013) received widespread praise and critical acclaim (winning 12 Awards and gaining entry into ~80 festivals) globally.
DC is a passionate viewer of Indian and foreign cinema, a book reader, and like a typical Indian fan is an avid lover of the game of cricket.
Besides his scientific achievements and pursuits, spiritual inquiry has been part of his personality and is othered by topics of human condition, human follies and human transformation.
In this film, the rose garden has been used as a syncretic icon (a symbol of amalgamation of different faiths, communities, cultures and schools of thought that are pervasive in our country) to denote INDIA (Bharat). Therefore, this film is an allegorical commentary giving us insights into our behavior, how we presently view our country and how we wish it to be by employing corrective actions to eliminate causes of non-conformities or other undesirable situations. The Rebel in the film is one such example who chooses to foul someone else's realm ― with reckless disdain! The fragile plant that has become vulnerable, now finds a gardener! Like a gardener, the girl tends to it and helps it regain its health, vitality and beauty after a harsh treatment. The girl therefore, moves from a confident inexperience towards a path of self-knowledge. It is through the genuity of sincerity and innocence of a truth-seeker that she accomplishes this. This poignant, humane allegorical narrative is thus, also about the metamorphosis of the girl and her journey towards altruism and magnanimity. India needs such gardeners!
