Cracked - A Web Series
Tired of dating jerks, Winnie Paige takes matters into her own hands and sets out to live life like it's a romantic comedy. Easy! So long as the dialogue is always pithy, and the hair is always shiny. In actuality, her friends are tired of her shit, her leading man is a Chiropractic Douche Bag, and her best friend Eddie can't seem to catch a break.

Cracked - A Web Series being the first she has co-created, co-wrote and co-directed, April has spent the majority of her career in front of the camera, or on stage. A working actor in the city, current performances include parts in Crash Pad, When We Rise, and Status Update, as well as a principal in Phil, a major motion picture set to be released in 2017. With more projects in the works that she has written herself, April plans to tell as many stories as she can, in front of (or behind) the camera.
Through Winnie, and the ensemble along side her, we wanted to explore how far average characters are willing to go to live life like a romantic comedy. We wanted to find the sweet spot between chasing "true" romance, and missing genuine connection as a consequence. On one hand, it's an upbeat yet cynical comedy, full or cartoon-y moments and pageantry -- on the other hand, there is a nut in the centre of it all, about the imperfect, vulnerable and earnest person we all are, and the lengths we'll go to run away from it.
