Soul Providers: Los Angeles
Filmmaker, Lisa Murray, takes us into the thoughts, inspiration, and creative process of five artists who live and work in Los Angeles.
This film is an experimental film. The subjects were asked if they would allow Lisa to film them doing whatever they do when they are at home. Lisa then interviewed them after the video. Both Lisa and the subjects did not know how this would turn out or if it would ever be released, but all agreed to be a part of the adventure.
The director originally filmed ten artists and plans on releasing the other five artists in another film as it was determined that five was the optimum number of subjects for a film like this one.

Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Lisa grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. She always knew she wanted to work in film. She is a writer, a filmmaker, and she rescues pitbull dogs. When she's not making films, runs a marketing company. In 2019, Lisa is starting a film festival in Northern California, the Ag & Art Film Festival - celebrating films that feature agriculture or art. She won a Yahoo! Veddy Award for her viral video, "Free Hugs in Hollywood"." Soul Providers: Los Angeles is her first feature film.
This film was a tool for healing for me. I am also an artist who lives and works in Los Angeles. I know the struggle and I appreciate anyone who remains positive and creative in such a competitive environment. Going through incredible personal loss at the time of shooting this film almost took me down. I know listening to the wise words of the subjects of Soul Providers kept me going. And now I share their words with the world. Thank you for watching.
