Director Statement

This is my first time that I am working with a dancer Miki Orihara who danced with Martha Graham Dance Company in NYC for past 27 years. This is her short documentary preparing for her first solo concert. I wanted to capture not only her dance but alsoher unique Japanese sensitivity ,delicate spirituality and her life thru my film.
